One of my favourite projects so far, art directing and creating the style frames for the look of this Project Runway Australia launch promo made this one of my funnest moments as a production designer. Although the catch was working with a small budget for a big look, I loved designing the set and look that ran away with the circus with a twist of a sewing theme throughout. Awesome fun working out each scenario for each character, brought to life with the amazing styling skills of out stylists, as well as our props guys in Melbourne - 3 days for a giant hanger and various other circus-y things is no small feat. A long one day Sunday shoot, but still so much fun, playing dollhouse and helping out with some of the action also. Post shoot, I lovingly graded the whole spot, composited some motion control shots, added fire and smoke, and then designed and animated the rest of the graphics. Wonderful satisfaction of running away with an idea and seeing it through to the final frame of the product! I hope you enjoy my sewing machine cage as much as I do!
