Art directing these station idents for Network Ten felt like working on film, where we created cinematic moments for the key talent of the network. It was a pleasure working with my dear friend and very talented director Veialu Aila-Unsworth on these series of beautiful vignettes that capture these commercial talent in a more unexpected, human way. For the motion graphics to work seamlessly with the messaging, I designed them to be very simple white typography on black, with the key animation being the playful movement of the two tittles (dots of the i's) to portray each message. At times I waved my hands in the air like a conductor of an orchestra, dancing with my hands to picture the way I could make these dots dance across the screen. The result is quiet and powerful, carving a unique space of stillness on prime television airtime.
